Step 1: Download and Extract the Certificates

After you have purchased an SSL certificate, the certificate authority (CA) will email you the certificate files, which will include the primary, root and intermediate certificates. Proceed by downloading these certificate files and extracting them on your Cisco Secure ACS directory.


Step 2: Install the Intermediate Certificate

  • Login to your Cisco Secure ACS and click on System Configuration.
  • Click on ACS Certificate Setup.
  • Now select ACS Certification Authority Setup.
  • In the CA Certificate File Box, enter the filename and location of your intermediate certificate that you have extracted on your server and press the Submit button.


Step 3: Install the Primary Certificate

  • After logging into your Cisco secure ACS, select System Configuration.
  • Click on ACS Certificate Setup.
  • Then select Install ACS Certificate.
  • Now, proceed by clicking on Read Certificate from File and then enter the filename and location of your primary certificate ( After that, fill up the rest of the necessary details required and press the Submit button.
  • Lastly, restart your ACS server by clicking on System configuration >Service Control>Restart.

With this step, your SSL certificate is now installed on your Cisco Secure Access Control Server (ACS) successfully.
