Due to this, it is impossible to issue certificates for the top-level domains (TLD) listed below or provide services to specific regions. Moreover, CA can set its own rules for the service-eligible areas.
Below, you can check restricted areas, regions, and TLDs set by the Sectigo and DigiCert CA’s which services we offer:
- BY The Republic of Belarus
- Crimea
- CU Cuba
- Donetsk peoples republic
- IR Iran, Islamic Republic of
- KP North Korea (Democratic People’s Republic of Korea)
- Luhansk peoples republic
- RU The Russian Federation
- SY Syrian Arab Republic
- VE Venezuela if:
- The organization is owned or controlled by the Government of Venezuela or falls under USA export restriction laws
- The domain is under .GOB.VE TLD
Russia and Ukraine geopolitical conflict
Since February 2022, due to Russia’s invasion and in response to the evolving geopolitical situation in Ukraine, Sectigo CA and DigiCert CA stopped providing services to organizations in Russia and Belarus. Note that restrictions also apply for the reissue of certificates obtained with a multi-year description and hardware (e-token) delivery.
