Convert Using OpenSSL/Bash (Linux/Unix)
Select the file output option(s) to convert from .p7b:
openssl pkcs7 -print_certs -in certificate.p7b | awk '/-----BEGIN CERTIFICATE-----/,/-----END CERTIFICATE-----/{print; if(/-----END CERTIFICATE-----/) exit}' > certificate.pem
Note: This command extracts only the leaf certificate (no chain certificates) and works with Bash for Linux/Unix only.

If you are installing a wildcard SSL certificate on cPanel, you need to specify the actual domain name, don't try to install it on *.domain.com , you have to install it on each subdomain such as admin.domain.com, shop.domain.com,..etc. Use the same certificate for each subdomain you install.
