Here\u2019s the quick guide to install SSL certificate on Microsoft IIS 7<\/h2>\n

To successfully complete the SSL Installation process, you\u2019ll need to first install the intermediate certificate(s) before configuring your primary SSL certificate on your IIS machine.<\/p>\n

Step 1: Download and Install SSL Certificate Files<\/h3>\n

Once the validation process is completed from the issuing Certificate Authority, we will send your SSL certificate<\/strong> via email in a *.zip file. Download that *.zip file and extract all on the directory where you wish to store your certificate files.\u00a0In this *.zip file, you will have the primacy SSL certificate, intermediate certificate and root certificate file. As for the corresponding private key, this file will be already stored on your IIS machine since it was made during the CSR generation<\/strong> process.<\/p>\n

Step 2: Intermediate SSL Certificate Installation on IIS 7<\/h3>\n

1)<\/strong> Click Run<\/strong> from Start<\/strong> menu or press \u2018Windows + R<\/strong>\u2019 key<\/p>\n

2)<\/strong> In Run<\/strong>, type MMC<\/strong> and then press Enter<\/strong><\/p>\n

3) Microsoft Management Console(MMC)<\/strong> dialog will appear<\/p>\n

4)<\/strong> Under the File<\/strong> menu click Add\/Remove Snap-in…<\/strong><\/p>\n

5)<\/strong> Click the Add<\/strong> button and the Add Standalone Snap-in<\/strong> dialog will appear<\/p>\n

6)<\/strong> Now select the Certificates<\/strong> option and press Add<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

7) Certificates<\/strong> is been added in Snap-in<\/strong>, press OK<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

8)<\/strong> Expand the Certificates option and Right-click the Intermediate Certification Authorities <\/strong><\/p>\n

9)<\/strong> Hover your mouse over All Tasks<\/strong> and click on Import<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

10) Certificate Import Wizard<\/strong> will appear, press Next<\/strong><\/p>\n

11)<\/strong> Browse for the Intermediate certificate file you have saved in your directory and then press Next <\/strong><\/p>\n

12)<\/strong> Now select Place all certificates in the following store<\/strong>, click over Browse<\/strong> button and select Intermediate Certification Authorities<\/strong>, press OK<\/strong> and hit next button. (If Intermediate Certification Authorities<\/strong>is already selected then move to next step.)<\/p>\n

13)<\/strong> Next window will display the certificate information you have imported.<\/p>\n

14)<\/strong> Press the Finish<\/strong> button, import was successful<\/strong> alert will be display, press OK<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

15)<\/strong> Close the console 1<\/strong> and press No to remove the console<\/strong><\/p>\n

Step 3: Primary SSL Certificate Installation on IIS 7<\/h3>\n

1)<\/strong>\u00a0From control Panel on your windows, open Administrative Tools <\/strong>and open Internet Information Services (IIS) Manager<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

2)<\/strong> Here in IIS Manager<\/strong> window, select your Server<\/strong><\/p>\n

3)<\/strong> Now scroll down to bottom side and double-click on Server Certificates<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

4)<\/strong> Select \u2019Complete Certificate Request….\u2019 <\/strong>option from the Actions<\/strong> panel in right.<\/p>\n

5)<\/strong> Now click over \u2026. <\/strong>to locate the certificate file<\/p>\n

6)<\/strong> In the Open<\/strong> dialog box, browse for your certificate file, click on it and press Open<\/strong><\/p>\n

7)<\/strong> Now give a new common name to the certificate file in the Complete Certificate Request <\/strong>dialog and press<\/p>\n

8)<\/strong> Select the server name<\/strong> where you wish to secure install your certificate in IIS Manager<\/strong><\/p>\n

9)<\/strong> Expand the Sites and click over the site which you wish to secure.<\/p>\n

10)<\/strong> Click over Bindings\u2026<\/strong> in the Action<\/strong> panel and then click over Add\u2026<\/strong><\/p>\n

11)<\/strong> Add Site Binding dialog will appear, here:<\/p>\n

(i)<\/strong> Select HTTPS for Type<\/p>\n

(ii)<\/strong> Select All Unassigned for IP Address<\/p>\n

(iii) <\/strong>Keep Port<\/strong> as 443<\/strong><\/p>\n

(iv)<\/strong> Select the SSL certificate which you have just installed for SSL Certificate<\/strong> option and then press OK<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

12)<\/strong> Now close the Bindings window and then close IIS Manager as well.<\/p>\n

Your SSL certificate & Intermediate certificate are now installed.<\/p>\n
